Match Report - Robin Hood v Shrewsbury

Score :   Robin Hood 4 - Shrewsbury 1
Date :   17 November 2009
Venue :   Premier FC
Report :

Robin Hood delivered their best performance so far this season, racking up a 4-1 win against early strugglers Shrewsbury. An open start suggested there were goals for both teams, but after Hamill latched onto a pass to finish impressively inside the box, the Hood took control. A 2nd goal quickly followed, Hamill the dangerman once again. It could have been more before half-time, too, had chances been taken. Bridger somehow heading over from close range, and Bunclark rushing a one-on-one chance when maybe he had more time. A minor reprieve, then, for the Shrews, who started the second half well, but never looked like scoring from open-play, before a deflected free-kick reduced the defcit. With that, though, their comeback faltered. The Hood regrouped and began to find space, moving the ball well for first Hare, and then Bomb, to add to the scoring and seal a comfortbale win.
