The Robin Hood maintained their winning start to the BPL season with a fairly comfortable win over defending champs iPlay. After both sides missed chances to score in the opening exchanges, a quick-fire double from the Hood mid-way through the first half was too much for the holders to come back from. First it was Morecroft, pouncing on poor set-piece defending to open the scoring, quickly followed by Hilton's first of the season, converting at the back post. iPlay pushed hard to get back into the game as the second half wore on, but their pressure rarely brought clear cut chances. In fact it was the Hood who probably had the better opportunities on the break, with Morecroft and Leng both unfortunate not to add to the score. The win sees the Robins move top for now, with iPlay having the chance to bounce back against newcomers Bangkok Storm nest week. |
